Lily Allen and David Harbour have decided to end their marriage. The pair are separating after more than four years since they tied the knot. According to insiders, the move isn’t coming as a surprise to the friends of the former couple as the marriage “has been crumbling” for some time now.
In early January, the “Smile” singer announced that she would be taking a break from her podcast. The 39-year-old hosts “Miss Me?” twice a week alongside her best friend Miquita Oliver. Soon after, reports emerged of Allen complaining to her friends that she was on the verge of a mental breakdown. Many have linked the report to her fractured marriage.
Before that, in a December 2024 episode, she had hinted that she was going through some “tough time.” Although she didn’t disclose the source of the distress, she stated that it was affecting her mental health. She also disclosed that she was having trouble eating due to the issue.
Also, in January, Allen disclosed that she was taking the break to enroll in a trauma center. She then told her fans to discard any speculations that she was returning to rehab in connection to her past struggles with drug addiction.
Her fans heard from her again on Monday, February 3, 2025, when she re-emerged on social media. She posted photos of herself after she checked into the trauma center. Allen also disclosed that she would be spending $8,000 every week during her time in the facility.

Lily Allen and David Harbour are still married, but according to reports, not for long. The pair have separated and are planning on a divorce. This is coming more than four years after they tied the knot in 2020.
Allen and Harbour said “I do” to each other on September 7, 2020. The ceremony took place in a Las Vegas venue and was followed by an eat-out at a Las Vegas In-N-Out outlet. An excited Harbour posted about it in a social media post with a caption that wowed internet users.
“In a wedding officiated by the king himself, the people’s princess wed her devoted, low born, but kind credit card holder in a beautiful ceremony lit by the ashen skies courtesy of a burning state miles away in the midst of a global pandemic,” the caption read. The wedding was officiated by someone who impersonated Elvis Presley.
What Caused the Lily Allen and David Harbour Split?
Although there hasn’t been any official disclosure, sources have pointed to allegations of cheating as the reason for their separation. There have been rumors that Allen is suspicious of her husband’s relationship with a number of women he follows on Instagram.
Interestingly, the rumors state that she believes Harbour met the women on Raya, the very app where they found each other. The discovery reportedly broke her heart. “She’s devastated and not in a good place,” an insider told journalists. “It’s been a bad start to the new year, but Lily is tough,” the source added.
Lily Allen has been pretty open about some fascinating details about her marriage. Earlier in the year, she disclosed that Harbour is cool with her having an OnlyFans account. Allen sells photos of her feet on her page.
Also, in an interview she granted in May 2024, she disclosed that she and Harbour have a say in what apps each other can have on their phones. “I now have a kids’ phone called Pinwheel. It has no browsing capability and no social media, but you can still have Uber and Spotify,” she said to a The Sunday Times reporter.

Lily Allen met the “Stranger Things” actor, 49, on a dating app called Raya.
In a June 2022 interview, David Harbour threw more light on the fascinating meeting. “I was in London alone doing “Black Widow,” on this app, going on dates and stuff. And yeah, I started texting with her,” he recalled. “She was in Italy at the time – we got together, went on a date at the Wolseley [restaurant], and it was, you know, she’s f***ing unbelievable,” he added.
He also revealed that although Allen said she fell in love with him instantly, his took some time. It took multiple dates before he became completely drawn to her. “I remember the exact moment. It was our third date,” he recalled.
“I was just in this phase, where I was like, I’m just going to be brutally honest about everything, because why lie? And I told her something about my life, about my beliefs… It would take a really extraordinary person to be accepting of the things that I said. And I remember thinking: Wow, that’s somebody I want to be around,” he said.

He stated that Marnie and Ethel argued about whether he was their dad or their stepdad. “He’s just some guy in our lives,” Ethel stated.
