Kate Middleton was spotted attending Sunday worship at Crathie Kirk on August 25. She was accompanied by her husband, Prince William, and baby, Prince George. This is her first visit to the Scottish church, located on the Balmoral estate after she confirmed her cancer diagnosis in March.

Middleton wore a checkered brown Holland Cooper coat and a dark brown fedora hat with orange and brown feathers for the occasion. She let her brunette hair flow freely and complemented her outfit with dangling gold earrings.

Along with her immediate family, Kate Middleton was accompanied by King Charles and Queen Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, James, Earl of Wessex, and Sir Tim Laurence. The royals, including Middleton and William, are in Scotland to accompany the king on his traditional summer vacation in Balmoral.

The royal family usually spent the rest of the summer together in privacy at Balmoral Castle. According to Perthnow, an Australian website, Queen Elizabeth II adored the enormous 50,000-acre estate, describing it as her “paradise in the highlands.”

In addition to the Scottish getaway, Kate Middleton, Prince William, and their three children are expected to spend time together at Anmer Hall, their Norfolk country home, before school begins.

At the time, the British monarch asked for “time, space, and privacy while I complete my treatment.” Until her leave of absence, Middleton had filled in the gaps as a dependable royal foot soldier and someone who could add star power to even the most routine ribbon-cutting occasion.

Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William, had mostly balanced their need for seclusion with their expanding public responsibilities after he became heir to the throne.

Who Was Kate Middleton Before Royalty?

Kate Middleton, 42, grew up with entrepreneurial parents in Berkshire, an affluent area west of London. She attended Marlborough College, an upscale private school with annual tuition of up to $60,000. She then studied art history at Scotland’s University of St. Andrews.

She met William there in 2001, and their relationship gained national prominence after they appeared together while skiing in Switzerland. They married in 2011 after a brief separation in 2007.

However, dealing with the media has not always been easy. In 2005, Middleton’s lawyers urged photographers to leave her alone while she was adjusting to post-graduation professional life in the spotlight as a royal girlfriend.

In 2012, the pair filed a lawsuit against a French magazine for publishing topless photos taken when she was on holiday at a property in the south.

Who Is Kate Middleton’s Husband?

Kate Middleton’s husband, Prince William, is a British royal. He is the eldest son of King Charles III and the late Princess Diana and the heir apparent to the throne.

Though Charles is king, and William is his successor, Middleton, the future queen, is famous as the nation’s favorite member of the royal clan.

“William and Kate are individually extremely popular — they are the two most popular members of the royal family,” NBC News royal commentator Daisy McAndrew said. “Kate, even more than William, has always had this can-do-no-wrong reputation, so for her to be criticized will be tough for the royal family to swallow.”

Following her cancer battle announcement, Middleton stated in a personal letter that “there are good and bad days.” She also said she intended to attend “a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.”
