Most celebrity kids ride on their parents’ wings to stardom, and Justin Pippen isn’t an exception. Justin is famous as the fourth son of former NBA star Scottie Pippen and reality TV star Larsa Pippen. After seventeen seasons in the NBA and six NBA championships, Scottie is considered one of the greatest small forwards of all time in the NBA.
Although he rose to prominence because of his famous parents, Justin Pippen has a love for basketball flowing through his veins. The budding NBA star shares his father’s passion for basketball and is continuing his legacy.
Justin Pippen Was Born in California
The budding basketball star was born in California on July 11, 2005, to his parents, Scottie Pippen and Larsa Pippen. His parents tied the knot in 1997, and by the time they had Justin, they were already married for eight years. While his father was his mother’s first husband, Larsa was the former NBA star’s second wife.
The curtains were closing on Scottie’s NBA career when he and Larsa welcomed Justin. However, that did not stop the young star from having the sport as a major part of his childhood. With older brothers who are also basketball players and a father considered a legend in the NBA, it’s no surprise Justin Pippen is making waves in the sports circle.
Although his parents’ marriage wasn’t so stable, Justin Pippen had both parents in his life for a while. The now-divorced couple separated and reconciled a couple of times. Fans thought their marriage was over when Scottie filed for divorce in 2016.
Although he later dropped the suit, Larsa filed for divorce two years later in 2018. Unfortunately, the pair didn’t reconcile this time and finally went their separate ways in 2021.
Justin Pippen Has Six Siblings
The budding NBA star grew up in a huge family. While he is the third child from his parent’s marriage, he is the sixth of his father’s seven children. Hence, he has six siblings.
He Has Three Half-Siblings
The oldest sibling of the large family is Antron Pippen, Scottie’s first son with his first wife. Scottie and Karen McCollum tied the knot in 1988 but had Antron on December 29, 1987. Unfortunately, Antron died when he was 33, on April 19, 2021.
Next on the list of Justin Pippen’s siblings is Taylor Pippen. She was birthed to the NBA Legend by his former girlfriend, Sonya Roby. Taylor was born on July 20, 1994. She was born with a twin, Tyler Pippen, who unfortunately died in the hospital days after her birth.
Then there is Sierra Pippen, Scottie Pippen’s third child. Scottie had Sierra with his former fiancee, Yvette De Leone. Sierra was born on February 17, 1995, before her parents called off their engagement and went their separate ways.
He Also Has Three Full Siblings From His Parents’ Marriage
After Sierra comes Scotty Pippen Jr., Scottie Pippen’s first son from his marriage to ex-wife Larsa Pippen, Scottie Pippen Jr. is Justin Pippen’s first sibling from both his parents. He was born on November 10, 2000. Following in his father’s footsteps, he is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA.
Next is Preston Pippen, Scottie and Larsa’s second child together. Preston Pippen was born on August 26, 2002, and was named after his grandfather, Scottie’s late father. Like his father and older brother, he played basketball in high school. However, Preston stays out of the spotlight, and it is unclear what he’s been up to since high school.
Last but not least is Sophia Pippen. Sophia is Scottie and Larsa’s youngest child and only daughter. She was born on December 26, 2008. Though she is the youngest of the Pippen siblings, she has a pretty impressive career. She has done some modeling and appeared on the first season of Dancing With The Stars: Juniors in 2018.
While it is unclear the kind of relationship Justin Pippen has with his half-siblings, he shares a close bond with his siblings.
Justin Pippen Is a Student at Sierra Canyon
The budding basketball star attends Sierra Canyon School, Chatsworth, California, where he doubles as an athlete. Justin Pippen plays basketball for the school team. He is a valuable player on the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers school team.
Importantly, Justin is the third Pippen sibling to attend Sierra Canyon. His older brothers, Scottie Pippen Jr. and Preston Pippen, are Sierra Canyon alums. The older Pippen brothers also played for the school’s basketball team.
Aside from the school’s basketball team, Justin Pippen plays for Stockton Soldiers in the Amateur Athletic Union. The rising star will play college basketball and likely make it to the NBA like his brother, Scottie Jr.
Although there are no records of college offers for Justin Pippen yet, it is only a matter of time before they start trooping in for the rising star.
