Despite her tragic childhood, John Travolta’s daughter Ella Bleu has grown into a budding model with lots of other talents up her sleeves.
John Travolta is proud of his now-grownup daughter Ella Bleu Travolta’s accomplishments, and he never hesitates to make it known. In November 2022, the actor took to Instagram to sing odes to his 22-year-old, whom he shares with his late wife, Kelly Preston.
Sharing a picture of the budding model posing with her furry cat, the actor captioned:
“Once in a while, you have to post something of beauty. (And the cat’s not bad either).”
The starlet took to the comment section to acknowledge the beautiful tribute, responding with a series of heart and kisses emojis. Weeks earlier, Travolta, the “Saturday Night Fever” star, celebrated his daughter’s debut at the New York City Fashion Week.
He shared a photo of the young beauty rocking a black pantsuit over a matching black lace bustier. Via caption, the 68-year-old expressed his pride in his little girl following the big career milestone.
Ella is indeed making waves these days as a model, and other showbiz ventures, taking a page from her parent’s book of stardom. But what steps did John Travolta’s daughter take to reach this point, especially after suffering several tragic setbacks throughout her childhood?
Who Is John Travolta’s Daughter?
John Travolta’s daughter is Ella Bleu, a 22-year-old singer, actress and model. She landed the planet on April 3, 2000, and grew up following her parent’s footsteps.
As early as nine. The starlet already landed a role in her first movie, appearing alongside Robin Williams in “Old Dogs.”
She made another iconic movie appearance in 2019, playing Becky Hunt in her dad’s 2019 film “The Poison Rose.” She also starred in “Get Lost,” a reimagining of Alice In Wonderland.”
When she isn’t acting, Ella spends time with her friends and family. She joined forces with her dad in February 2021 to do a Super Bowl commercial. She has also dabbled in music and modeling recently, living up to her dreams.
Her Life Wasn’t Always Perfect
While Ella Bleu Travolta seems to be topping her game in recent years, her life was not always perfect. Contrariwise, her childhood was riddled with tragic losses and heartbreaks, which she bore bravely in a bid to stay strong for her family.
John Travolta and Kelly Preston tied the knot in 1991, welcoming their first son, Jett Travolta, the next year. Ella followed in 2000 and spent her early years enjoying the life of a celebrity kid, traveling to exciting places, among other privileges.
Sadly, things turned rough in 2009 when her first bolt of tragedy hit her. John Travolta’s first son, Jett, lost his life after going into a seizure during a family trip to the Bahamas.
Per reports, the boy, who was sixteen at the time, had Kawasaki disease from the age of two, as a result of which he experienced many seizures. However, this time, he hit his head on the bathtub and died from the impact, leaving Kelly and the rest of her family grieving.
A year after Jett’s death, Travolta and his wife welcomed another son, Benjamin, filling a part of that void. When it seemed things were finally falling into place, Ela was hit with the news of her mom’s breast cancer diagnosis.
Kelly Preston battled the ailment secretly for two years before it claimed her life in July 2020. The then-57-year-old left behind her husband, son Benjamin, and then-20-year-old daughter Ella.
Ella Bleu Travolta’s Impressive Career Growth
Faced with her brother’s loss at nine, John Travolta’s daughter utilised acting as an outlet. She geared off her career in 2009, shortly after Jeff’s death.
The 68-year-old once recalled how his daughter made it known at age seven that she wanted to be in a movie.
Hence, he made it happen, pitching her to several directors until she landed her role in “Old Dogs,” alongside her parents. She went on to star in “The Poison Rose” and “Get Lost.” Ella once said of her entertainment career:
“Since I was very little, I’ve loved performing, singing and dancing, and putting on shows at home for my family and friends.”
As the years progressed, she found a way to put her multifaceted entertaining passion into perspective. She aced acting thanks to her dad’s guidance, released her first single in January 2022, and is set to launch her first EP in 2023. Additionally, Ella is on her way to becoming a top supermodel.
John Travolta’s Other Kids
Although John Travolta has a strong bond with his daughter, which has grown increasingly since his wife’s demise, he loves the rest of his family equally.
Having lost his eldest son, Jett, and wife, Kelly Preston, years back, he remains a devoted single dad to his two surviving kids, Ella and Benjamin.
Unlike Ella, who has matured into a beautiful adult, Benjamin is only twelve. Yet, he has become accustomed to walking the red carpet with his famous family. Additionally, the youngster seems to be already embracing a path in entertainment like his family.
According to Travolta, he loves fishing, tennis and gymnastics, and computers. He is also into dancing, with some of his videos showing off dance moves gracing TikTok. Well, with a world-renowned dad who famously danced with the infamous Princess Diana at the white house, who could expect less?
