On ‘Jesse Watters Primetime,’ Jesse Watters talks about how respected American institutions are less trusted than they used to be. He looks into the idea that these once highly regarded institutions are now losing public trust and declining.

Afterward, Watters shared his perspective on American institutions on X (formerly Twitter). Many users on X praised Jesse Watters for his viewpoint.

Fox News host Jesse Watters expressed his thoughts on X by stating, “America’s in the middle of an identity politics aristocracy. Right now, we’re witnessing Harvard’s board allowing fraud. @realchrisrufo exposes them.”

In his take, Watters said, “When I was a little boy growing up, I held American institutions in very high esteem. I thought the FBI were the good guys. I thought the Catholic Church was pristine.”

He continued, “But as I entered adulthood, year after year, it began to dawn on me that nothing is sacred anymore. The people and the places I revered let me down. It doesn’t make me cynical. It makes me a realist.”

“Now, I’m not out to tear down American institutions. That’s the last thing I want. These institutions are tearing themselves down. Hollywood turned out to be not so glamorous,” he added.

Watters further said, “The Secret Service – I respect the guys, but the leadership, not anymore. Don’t even get me started on the NFL. But one of the places you aspire to be admitted as a young American is Harvard University, the pinnacle of the Ivy League. Surreal.

I always assumed it took the finest academic pedigree to be employed there. You had to have the most diligent scholarship, the best and the brightest, they said.”

“Now, you always knew Harvard was a little liberal, as most universities are. That’s baked into the cake. But if the students were sharp, the professors must be brilliant. And then Harvard hired Bill de Blasio. And then Harvard hired Lori Lightfoot. It became a rehab clinic for failed progressives.”

He concluded by saying, “Surely the president of Harvard University has to be the most highly accredited individual in higher ed. Once again, I was disappointed.”

Following Jesse Watters’ commentary on American universities, numerous X users supported and commended him for his perspective. One individual commented, “Well explained,” while another remarked, “This might be one of your best monologues yet.”

An X user said, “Good investigation, Jesse. It’s time to defund the Department of Education.”

Another backed Watters, adding, “@JesseBWatters, you have by far become one of the best evening hosts, if not, the best! Love your delivery!” and one more said, “You nailed it, Jesse 🙏🏻.”

Harvard president Claudine Gay recently faced accusations of not crediting others’ work. Gay has also come under fire over alleged mishandling of antisemitism at Harvard.

Gay, however, vehemently defended her academic rigor when the allegations surfaced, telling the Boston Globe: “I stand by the integrity of my scholarship. Throughout my career, I have worked to ensure my scholarship adheres to the highest academic standards.”
