Since flaunting her voice-acting skills in “Ice Age” Nicki Minaj has delved deeper into her multifaceted showbiz career, snagging unbelievable deals.

Nicki Minaj may have established herself in the world of music, but she has taken a deep dive into other entertainment fields in recent years.

In October 2022, Infinity Ward and Activision released the trailer of a new game, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II,” with singer Nicki Minaj fronting the promo alongside other popular artists like Lil Baby, Pete Davidson and Kane Brown.

The game deal stirred a ruckus among fans, who speculated she took advantage of an endorsement deal Cardi B had been rooting for all along. These speculations stemmed from Cardi’s earlier announcement of her failure to snag a “Call of Duty” deal.

The coincidence spurred references to the longtime feud between the two rappers which has laid fallow for years. While fans think this is the resurrection of the long-forgotten feud, it just might be a coincidence, especially as the “Call of Duty” deal would not be the first game deal for Nicki Minaj.

In fact, the star released her very own mobile game back in 2016 titled Nicki Minaj: The Empire.” The venture was a partnership with Glu Mobile in a bid to rival games by other popular stars including Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry.

Aside from gaming deals, Nicki Minaj has branched into other ventures like entrepreneurship, fashion, acting and voice acting for animations like “Ice Age.” Yes, Animations!

This may sound surprising, but the singer hasn’t shied away from lending her voice to animations or other film ventures. From “Ice age” to the other woman, here is a list of movies Nicki Minaj worked on that would come as a surprise.

1. “Barber Shop: The Next Cut”

Nicki Minaj appeared in the third film from the “Barbershop” franchise in 2016. The movie, titled “Barbershop: The Next Cut” was produced by Ice Cube, and featured appearances from the comedy genius, Regina Hall and Anthony Anderson.

In the movie, Nicki Minaj played Draya, a slutty, yet funny and cute hairdresser in the iconic barber shop. With her head-turning outfits, eye-popping curves and devil-may-care attitude, the songstress easily stole the show.

2. “The Other Woman”

Two years before channelling her inner femme power on “Barbershop,” Nicki Minaj played a similar role that spotlighted her signature curves. She played Lydia, an assistant to Cameron Diaz’s character Carly.

Carly was a lawyer having an affair with a married man, entangling her with his wife, and another mistress. Lydia was on hand to advise her on how to slither her way out, with the iconic advice, “selfish people live longer.”

Another Nicki Minaj movie featured her playing the magical role of Wisest Thingy, a fairy who has a little daughter.

6. “Ice Age”

“Ice Age” marks one of the earlier ventures of Nicki Minaj into acting. She voiced the character of Steffie in the fourth instalment of the animated film titled “Ice Age: Continental Drift.”

The film hit the cinemas in July 2012 and quickly grabbed the attention like its predecessors. Nicki’s character was a funny, beauty-obsessed mammoth belonging to a friend group called the Brat Pack.

Despite having only a few lines in the animated film, “Ice Age” remains one of the most iconic film projects Nicki Minaj has ventured into. And sure enough, it projected her in a funny, more comely light, earning her the admiration of fans worldwide.
