However, the ceremony’s highlight came after Shaboozey lost multiple nominations despite his song’s commercial.
Shaboozey’s viral hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” lost out on Single of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards. The loss came after his song became the second longest-running No. 1 single on Billboard Hot 100. The song, which has done 18 weeks atop the chart, is only a week from equaling Lil Nas X’s record.

Since the creation of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 1958, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has become one of seven singles to achieve the milestone.
