According to the lawsuit, after Musk’s takeover of Twitter in late 2022, a powerful group in the advertising industry decided “to collectively withhold billions of dollars in advertising from Twitter.”

The complaint claims it’s because they were worried that the network had strayed from brand safety guidelines. This case represents X’s most recent attempt to turn around its core advertising business, which has collapsed since Musk took over.

The organization in question is GARM, the Global Alliance for Responsible Media. It is a voluntary ad industry project managed by the World Federation of Advertisers that assists companies in avoiding having their ads appear next to offensive or unlawful content.

Since the lawsuit is in its early stages, most details surrounding it remain undisclosed. However, the public’s interest in the billionaire CEO Elon Musk remains high, especially with his recent jabs at Democrats on X. Here’s all we know about him.

How Many Children Does Elon Musk Have?

Now that a newborn has been added, Elon Musk has twelve children overall. It will become clear over time whether or not this number will remain constant. Elon Musk and Canadian writer Justine Wilson are parents to six children altogether; their first kid died of sudden infant death syndrome at ten weeks.

Musk and Canadian musician Grimes have three kids together. Also, in July 2022, Insider published court documents revealing that the billionaire CEO had twins via IVF with Shivon Zilis, director of operations and special projects at Neuralink, in November 2021.

The two had their third child together in early 2024 via surrogacy, bringing his children to twelve. As a parent of twelve now, Elon Musk made a joke about how his expanding family may end the “underpopulation crisis.”

Elon Musk’s Transgender Daughter

The drama between Elon Musk and his transgender daughter has garnered public attention. Elon Musk’s transgender daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson has accused her father of being abusive to her because she was queer. Wilson claims the billionaire CEO was also absent because she was feminine as a young child.

In an exclusive interview, Vivian Wilson, 20, addressed remarks Musk made about her and her gender identification. Elon Musk claimed that she was “not a girl” and that she was practically “dead” in an interview made public on social media.

He also claimed that he had been “tricked” into approving her transgender medical care when she was just 16 years old.

In 2020, as the company’s output expanded, it began to generate consistent profits. Its stock value increased dramatically, some would say unnecessarily. Though they have since rebounded, some have blamed the distraction of the Twitter takeover for the shares’ decline near the end of 2022.

In a video uploaded to X, Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X, discussed the company’s troubles with the advertising group. She painted a bleak image, describing GARM as “plotting an advertising boycott on X, which puts our ability to grow in the future in jeopardy.”

She also stated that the company was “at long-term risk” due to the loss of advertising revenue.
