David Hefner’s Parents
David’s parents are Hugh Hefner and Millie Hefner. His dad, Hugh, was a producer, actor, and renowned publisher of the infamous Playboy magazine. He passed away on September 27, 2017, at 91, and left David’s brother Cooper as the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Playboy Enterprises.
Hugh Hefner
Thanks to his Playboy magazines, clubs, and mansion, Hugh lived a very controversial life, allegedly fostering sexual abuse and exploitation of different women. He extended the Playboy brand to include the club and luxurious Playboy mansions where the Playboy Playmates lived, partied and got involved in sexual relations.
Some rumors claimed that Hugh slept with every female Playboy model as an “induction rite” into the Playboy mansion, while some believe he raped many girls there.
Despite all the controversies surrounding Hugh before his death, he strongly advocated for animal rights and rescue, First Amendment rights, and restoring the Hollywood sign. The Playboy magazine still exists to date and is majorly digital now compared to Hugh’s time when most of their publications were in hard copies.
Millie Hefner
David’s mother, Millie Hefner (née Williams), was Hugh’s first wife. She was known majorly as Hugh’s wife, so little about her personal life is known. She met Hugh shortly after dropping out of school, and the two began dating some months later.
After dating for a while, Millie married Hugh on June 25, 1949, when they were only 23. The couple separated on infidelity grounds and went their separate ways. However, they shared joint custody of their kids and remained cordial co-parents until Hugh died.
David Hefner’s Net Worth
David has an alleged net worth of $500,000 thanks to his incredible talents and multiple income streams. Some estimate his net worth to be higher by including his father’s inheritance and Playboy revenue, but it is difficult to determine if it is accurate.
By the time of Hugh’s death, Playboy was not owned by him but was an established company and brand. This makes it impossible to estimate if David got a cut of the company or not.
