Chrissy Teigen, John Legend’s wife, has decided to live on for the rest of her family after mourning the loss of her unborn child. She stepped out in public for the first time since disclosing the incident, taking charge of her life once again.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have set their life back on track after mourning the loss of their stillborn child. The cookbook author made her first public appearance since sharing the news with the public.
The couple, alongside their two children, Luna and Miles, turned up for the vice-presidential rally in Philadelphia. The duo expressed their support for the Democratic vice presidential nominee, Sen. Kamala Harris.
Legend performed “Wake Up Everybody” by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. Following his performance, the singer invited Teigen and his children to join him on stage.
An excerpt from the event shared on Teigen’s Instagram showed the moment the trio joined the family patriarch. Legend’s voice could be heard over the emotional union as he dedicated his next performance, “Never Break,” to their relationship. The cookbook author wrote in her caption:
“I had no idea what to do, but it was an honor to be able to support Kamala and Joe in Philly. HI EVERYONE. Here we go. Remember to breathe and look at puppy photos every once in a while.”
Chrissy Teigen graced the event in a white blazer worn over a similar-colored gown. She also wore a black facemask. While on stage, the 34-year-old embraced her husband from behind and kissed him before saying “Hi” to everyone present.
Her appearance at the vice-presidential rally marked the first since going public with her pregnancy loss on October 1. Teigen made the revelation via a lengthy social media post where she disclosed they had planned to name their son Jack.

The mother-of-two accompanied the post with a series of pictures of herself crying at the hospital after learning of her son’s fate. Following a month spent in mourning, the couple decided to accept their reality and focus on everything else that mattered.
To Legend, it was his family and his willingness to teach his kids invaluable tenets from the cradle. He made that clear while calling his wife on stage following his first performance at the rally, saying:
“I want you guys to see. My wife is here. My son Miles is here. We’re teaching our young people early to participate in their democracy.”

Although the cookbook author explained at the time of sharing the post that the shots were her way of stamping the moment in her memory forever, critics felt they were uncalled for.
However, Teigen clapped back at those condemning her actions, saying she cared so little about their opinions.
All that mattered was how much she wanted to document the sad moment to help everyone who had experienced such tragedy and all the lives she’d reach out to by doing so.
