It just shows that the industry is becoming more open and welcoming to different styles of music. Showing off some of that southern hospitality, Young says, “Tell (Beyoncé) I’m here for her.”

Shooter Jennings Aired His Opinion on Beyoncé’s Album

Like Young, Shooter Jennings is a country music artist. He’s the son of the legendary Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter. He has made a name for himself with his unique sound, blending country with rock and roll influences.

Jennings says that Beyoncé’s album is a clear sign that mainstream audiences are ready to embrace country music fully. He added that country music is the hottest thing in the music scene.

“Country music is the biggest thing in music right now,” Jennings explained. “And I think Beyoncé cutting a country album is our generation’s ‘Urban Cowboy’ moment when popular culture embraces country during a time of profound national popularity.”

Jennings thinks it’s cool that Beyoncé is showing love for country music, even though she faced backlash at the 2016 CMA Awards. 

He believes it’s positive for her to embrace the genre and country music as a whole. It’s all about breaking down barriers and celebrating different styles of music. Beyoncé also noted that the album was her way of responding to a not-so-great experience at the 2016 CMA Awards. 

Country Musicians Featured on Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” Album

Beyoncé’s cowboy-themed album has some country singers she featured on it. She’s got country legend music stars like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, as well as the talented Miley Cyrus, joining her on this project.

Nelson, 90, can be heard on “Smoke Hour Willie Nelson” and “Smoke Hour II.” Many country musicians have been supporting Beyoncé’s cowboy-themed album, and it’s like a big country music party. Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and even Miley Cyrus are also excited to be a part of the unique project.

The Album’s Success So Far

Beyoncé’s latest project is making waves. It’s holding up the top spot on the Billboard 200. She’s the first Black woman to ever top Billboard’s country album chart. Even country superstar Lainey Wilson is inspired by Beyoncé’s success.

She’s stoked to see people who didn’t think they liked country music give it a chance and maybe discover a new love for it. “There’s nothing that that girl can’t do…. that’s inspiring to me,” said Lainey Wilson, who took home the country album Grammy in February.

“I’m excited to see the fans who didn’t know they liked country music find out that maybe they like it a little bit.” Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” album has also been a massive hit, selling 407,000 album units in its first week. It’s the singer’s eighth album to reach number one. 

It had the highest debut since Taylor Swift’s “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” which sold 1.653 million units. “Cowboy Carter” also became Beyoncé’s most streamed album in a single week.

The album, Beyoncé’s biggest sales week since 2016’s “Lemonade” (653,000 units), also makes her the first Black woman to ever debut at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. It’s the best sales week for a country album since July 2023, when Swift’s “Speak Now” landed at the summit with 716,000 copies.
