The campaign disclosed on Sunday that President Joe Biden’s campaign and its affiliated fundraising organizations garnered $53 million in February. This fundraising effort brought their total reserves to $155 million by the end of last month.

The $53 million raised in February represents a $25 million surge over the total cash on hand for the Biden campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and Democratic state parties at the end of January.

This increase occurred as both President Biden and former President Donald Trump secured their party nominations and began the general election phase.

In a statement, the campaign highlighted that February marked its most robust grassroots fundraising month since its inception in April of the previous year.

The joint campaign effort attributed significant fundraising success to key moments throughout the month, such as First Lady Jill Biden’s email appeal to donors.

Jill Biden played a significant role in drafting an email. It was sent following the publication of special counsel Robert Hur’s report. The report concerned President Biden’s management of classified documents.

Hur concluded that no charges should be brought against the president. However, the White House criticized Hur. They alleged unnecessary remarks about Biden’s age and memory.

Jill Biden’s campaign message defending her husband raised $853,000 in February. Campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez expressed pride in their fundraising efforts.

The funds will support state-level operations, paid media, and campaign travel. The campaign highlighted $2 million from small-dollar contributors on Feb. 29 alone.

“We’re proud of the record-breaking fundraising machine we’ve built that is going toward reaching the voters about the stakes of this election,” campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement.

One user comments, “I’ll never figure out why anyone would vote for or throw money at this guy. His economic and border policies alone have ruined this country. Add to that his immoral behavior (see Ashley Simpson’s diary and WSP piece about Joe’s bribe-taking schemes) and one is left shaking their heads in amazement”.

Another added, “How do they expect anyone to believe this so-called grass roots story about campaign contributions when the public is clearly dissatisfied with the Biden administration? poll after poll shows people are fed up, yet they spout this crap. Pay to play is obviously in full force, having been a staple of the Biden family for decades. Even democrats have been admitting they don’t think Biden will make it through another term.”
