The police have charged a Pennsylvania man for beheading his father and then posting a video with the severed head. His father was a federal employee. The accused uploaded the gruesome video on YouTube.
Since the incident occurred, authorities have charged the man with several crimes, including first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and possession of an instrument of crime. YouTube has since taken down the graphic video because it violates their policies.
In the video, the man also went on a 14-minute rant, bringing up multiple right-wing conspiracy theories, calling for President Biden’s resignation, and threatening to hurt federal workers.
The police swiftly arrested 32-year-old Justin Mohn about 100 miles away from his family home in Levittown, Pennsylvania. His mother discovered his father’s decapitated body in the bathroom at their home and immediately called the authorities. Mohn is currently being held without bail in the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
According to the criminal complaint, the police found the victim, 68-year-old Michael F. Mohn, in a bathroom “with a large amount of blood around him.” They also found a machete and a large knife in the bathtub. Police found the victim’s severed head in a plastic bag inside a cooking pot in one of the bedrooms in the house. They also discovered bloody gloves in another room and more evidence in a trash can.

According to the suspect’s mother, only her son and her husband were there when she left the house earlier that day. However, when she returned, she found her husband’s decapitated body and Justin Mohn had fled the house in his father’s car. Middletown Township police chief Joe Bartorilla told The Washington Post that investigators managed to track him down.
Furthermore, Bartorilla announced Mohn’s arrest and also mentioned that he wasn’t a threat. Bartorilla also said that the suspect seemed to have acted alone. In the past, Mohn had no serious cases with the police.

He only had contact with law enforcement when he was 19 years old. “He was sitting in front of his house with another kid in the car, [generating] a suspicious person complaint,” Middletown Township Lt. Stephen Forman said. “He wasn’t one of our ‘frequent fliers,’ so to speak.” He described the encounter as insubstantial.
In the video Mohn posted on YouTube, he described his father as a traitor. He said his father had been a federal government worker for over two decades. Mohn could be seen wearing a pair of bloodstained gloves and holding a bloody plastic bag that contained his father’s head. He also spoke against the LGBTQ community, immigration, Black Lives Matter, and the Antifa movement.

Also, Mohn said that America was being run by traitors and demanded an end to the federal government. Authorities are yet to confirm the motive behind his actions, but they have said that he acted “with clear mind, aware of his actions and proud of his consequences.”
