A lucky Arkansas woman won half a million dollars from a $20 scratch-off ticket. Lucille Robinson was with her son Dewayne Johnson at the 12th Street market in Little Rock, where she bought a 200X instant game ticket. She paid $20 on a whim and chose a 200X ticket for its aesthetic appeal and color.
Without giving it much thought, she scratched off the ticket at a gas station and gave it to her son to check if she won anything. With a big smile on his face, Johnson looked up and told her, “Mama, you just won half a million dollars.”
The first thing she did was call her other son and granddaughter to share the good news. Then, she went to the ticket claim center to get her prize money. Robinson says she habitually buys lottery tickets two to three times a week.
In an interview with the lottery officials, Robinson explained her plans for her new-found wealth. She said she would use the money to pay her most pressing bills and save the rest for a rainy day. She also hoped to use some of the money to improve her family’s quality of life.

The top prize for each state in America in the 200X lottery game differed. For the state of Arkansas, $500,000 is the top prize in the 200X lottery game. However, it is as high as $10 million in California. This is because the number of people playing varies with every state.
Thanks to sheer luck, four top prizes were available in Arkansas, and Robinson purchased the last $500,000 ticket. “What are the odds of that happening?” one may ask. The odds are a staggering one in 2.99 million people!
