After Ariana Zolciak (Biermann) claimed that her parents, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, spent all her money during their divorce, she has now revealed that she still supports her mom financially. The 23-year-old opened up about helping her mom and her siblings during a recent episode appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live.’
On the show, which aired on Sunday, June 29, she told host Andy Cohen about her family’s complicated financial circumstances. She also opened up about her mom’s ongoing financial struggles, revealing that she regularly helps the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ alum cover bills for her and the younger kids.
She went on to say that she’s not the only one supporting financially and that her older sister, Brielle Biermann, also helps out. Still, Ariana made it clear there’s no bad blood between them: “My mom, no matter what, will be my best friend forever. Money should never ruin a relationship with your family.”
What Money Problems Is Kim Zolciak Facing?
Kim Zolciak’s struggles with money troubles are no secret, and now that her daughter Ariana Zolciak has confirmed her support, it makes previous allegations somewhat true.
Kim, 47, and Kroy Biermann’s financial issues have made headlines since they initially filed for divorce in 2023. The pair, who have withdrawn their divorce filing several times, sold their Georgia mansion, The Alpharetta, Ga., home, for $2.8 million in January after Kroy, the retired NFL star, claimed his estranged wife, Kim, “financially devastated” their family.
According to legal documents obtained by PEOPLE, three months after the sale, they were forced out of their Georgia home by U.S. Marshals per the writ of possession filed on April 9. Most recently, during an appearance on Kristin Cavallari’s “Let’s Be Honest” tour in March, Kim claimed Kroy “has not paid a bill” in years.
The on-again, off-again pair got married in 2011, and they share sons Kroy Jagger “KJ” Jr., 14, Kash, 12, and twins Kaia and Kane, 11. Kroy, 39, also adopted Ariana and her sister Brielle, 28, shortly after marrying Kim. Kim later filed for divorce from Kroy after 11 years of marriage on May 8, 2023, saying their marriage is “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”
In the recent interview with Andy Cohen, Ariana said that she’d been supporting her mom through this messy chapter of financial struggles. And by messy, we mean bankruptcy filings, million-dollar foreclosure auctions, and allegations of gambling debts.
When Andy Cohen asked whether the rumor of her mom’s gambling was true, Ariana politely declined to go in that direction. “No. Not talking about that,” she said. Instead, she stood by her mother: “She’s my best friend, and always will be.”
Is Ariana Zolciak Helping Her Mom, Kim Zolciak, Financially?
There’s no denying Kim built a brand around family, glamour, and lavish living. But now that the Bravo shows have ended and the income has slowed, it’s her daughters who are now supporting the family.
On a recent episode of ‘Watch What Happens Live’ with Andy Cohen, Ariana Zolciak revealed she supports her mom, Kim Zolciak, with money. The “Next Gen NYC” star admitted during the interview that her mother has been relying on her for financial help.
“The only time my mom asks me for money is if it’s regarding the bills or it’s something that she needs for the kids, and then she pays me back when she can,” she told host Andy Cohen.
“Money should never ruin a relationship with your family.” She continued, “You can always make more money; God blesses us in that way … I have my mom, and that’s all that matters.” “Family over funds. Always.”
Ariana has chosen to protect her peace, hold her family close, and work her way out of any financial gaps within her family. Whether she’s helping her mom out of obligation, loyalty, or love, it’s obvious that she is embracing a more independent role as a woman.
How Is Ariana Zolciak Supporting Her Siblings?
Ariana Zolciak supports her younger siblings, KJ, Kaia, Kash, and Kane, through her mom, Kim Zolciak, by helping financially. She revealed she pays her mom’s bills and supports her siblings amid the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum’s ongoing financial struggles.
She also added that Kim and her stepfather, Kroy Biermann, have also taken money from her older sister, Brielle Biermann.
Growing up, Ariana and Brielle were constantly surrounded by the bright lights of reality TV, which was full of wigs, champagne, and Gucci as the ultimate symbol of status. But now that Kim’s lengthy divorce from former NFL player Kroy Biermann is playing out like a dreadful reunion on Bravo, the family budget is now more than just a reality show matter. They’re real-life concerns.
