Anne Hathaway first stole the heart of fans by playing Mia Thermopolis in the 2001 movie “The Princess Diaries.” Although the movie got mixed reviews from critics, it was very successful at the box office.
“The Princess Diaries” made approximately $108 million and earned Hathaway a Teen Choice Award nomination. Ever since then, the American actress has grown both professionally and personally.
Her performance in the 2004 film “Ella Enchanted” earned her special praises, with critic Roger Ebert depicting her as “luminous” and “beautiful.”That same year, she reprised her role in “The Princess Diaries” sequel.
In 2005 she starred in the movies “Havoc” and “Brokeback Mountain.” Her performance as a tough, sexy Texan in the latter film earned her specific strong reviews. “The Devil Wears Prada” in 2006 and “Becoming Jane” in 2007 enhanced her reputation as a top performer in Hollywood.

Hathaway is currently married to actor and jewelry designer Adam Schulman. The pair started dating in October 2008 before they eventually tied the knot On September 29, 2012, in a traditional Jewish ceremony.
Before her marriage and relationship with Schulman, Hathaway had dated a couple of famous people. The actress was in a relationship with Italian real estate developer Raffaello Follieri from 2004 till their separation in June 2008.
Hathaway’s relationship with Follieri ended after law officials accused the latter of defrauding investors out of millions and falsely claiming he represented the Vatican. Afterward, Follieri got sentenced to four and a half years in prison.
She also briefly dated Italian-American restauranteur Scott Sartiano in 2002 and afterward English actor Hugh Dancy from 2002 till 2004.

Hathaway is a doting of two adorable sons she shares with her husband, Schulman. The couple welcomed their first son Jonathan Rosebanks Schulman on March 24, 2016. However, the actress is quite reticent about her family life and hardly shares anything about her loved ones.
While appearing on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon, the actress surprisingly shared rare information about her eldest child. Hathaway revealed that staying home with Jonathan amid the COVID-19 lockdown has been relatively easy.
She disclosed that Jonathan believes everything they tell him, which is adorable and valuable because it makes parenting him easy. For example, telling Jonathan that Santa is watching his every move keeps the kid in check.
Hathaway’s second son Jack Schulman was born in November 2019. The actress kept his birth details very secret and only confirmed his name in an October 26, 2022, episode of “Live With Kelly and Ryan.” She declared:
“Now I have a beautiful almost-11-month-old boy, but I was pregnant when I made ‘The Witches,” so technically he’s all over that performance.”
Hathaway also revealed that Jack had grown big enough to wrestle with, improving his relationship with elder brother Jonathan.
Why Hathaway Rarely Shares Pictures of Her Kids
Although Hathaway has always kept things about her personal life private, there’s a particular reason why she keeps a close lid around her sons. After she posted Jonathan’s picture on her Instagram for the first time in March 2017, it generated many reactions.
The enormous media attention it garnered strengthened Hathaway’s resolve to keep the identity of her kids private. However, Hathaway immediately regretted posting the picture because the actress felt she had indirectly invited the public into her life.
She also realized that the media might wrongly interpret simple posts like Jonathan’s. For that reason, the actress has since refrained from sharing pictures relating to her kids.
Hathaway Makes Her Cannes Film Festival Debut
In May 2022, Hathaway appeared at the Cannes Film Festival for the first time in her career. The actress showed up at the event for the premiere of her new period drama “Armageddon Time.”
True to her dazzling persona on-screen, the actress left no stone unturned in her outfit. The mother of two stunned fans when she showed up on the red carpet donning a two-piece sequin Atmani Prive gown with sizeable sleeves coupled to a train. She completed her looks, rocking Bulgari gems and Santoni shoes.
At the event, Hathaway disclosed she hired stylist Erin Walsh who is the brain behind her beautiful outfit. The “Ocean’s 8” star revealed:
“You know, I’ve never been to Cannes, and I’ve watched the fashion of the film festival for a couple of decades. I’ve noticed certain things that you can never go wrong with. You never go wrong with a little sparkle. You never go wrong with something that looks chic and glamorous but feels comfortable.”
The actress explained she noticed many of her colleagues made their debut at the festival wearing white which is also exactly what she did. (Hathaway got that right because she looked gorgeous).
The actress then took to the red carpet to pose with her “Armageddon Time” cast. She also posed solo, exposing every angle of her beautiful dress to the cameras.
