Nearly two years after getting engaged, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s mega wedding is finally happening this summer. The couple is in the final stages of planning, and, no, they won’t be tying the knot in Aspen, as it’s been rumored. Instead, they’ll be holding the ceremony in Venice, Italy, from June 26 to 29, 2025.
According to the Times, the wedding will be planned by Lanza & Baucina, a global event creation, design, and management company. The London-based firm is known for its complete discretion; some of their previous work includes royal and A-list celebrity weddings.
As for the wedding dress, the bride, Sánchez, has chosen the perfect one for the special ceremony. She opted for a custom design from the Oscar de la Renta fashion house with the help and expert guidance of none other than Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue.

Are Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Engaged or Already Married?
Engaged, yes. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his pilot-turned-journalist-turned-children’s book author fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, are engaged. The pair got engaged in May 2023 after dating for five years. Bezos proposed to Sánchez during a summer vacation in the south of France, Europe, while aboard his $500 million luxury sailing yacht, Koru.
Sánchez told Vogue in an interview that the proposal was so unexpected, as she had already removed her makeup and was ready to go to bed when she found the ring under her pillow.
“I think I blacked out a bit,” she said, describing her reaction after Bezos presented her with the 30-carat diamond ring worth $2.5 million.

On May 14, 2025, ahead of the mega wedding, Sánchez’s bachelorette party was held in Paris. She’d flown in for the weekend with her best girlfriends, including Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Eva Longoria, Katy Perry, and Lydia Kives. Her younger sister, Elana, and Tobie Gonzales were also in attendance.
It was a three-day bachelorette party that began with an intimate dinner for 13 women at the historic Lafayette restaurant. The next day, all the ladies put on eveningwear to cruise down the Seine. Then Sánchez hosted another bachelorette party at Le Grand Café at Grand Palais on May 17.
Bezos, on the other hand, hosted his bachelor party in Madrid. He and his friends dined at Ten con Ten, a trendy spot in the Salamanca neighborhood.

61-year-old Jeff Bezos and 55-year-old Lauren Sánchez reportedly first met in the mid-2010s through her former husband, Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell. They started dating in 2018 but avoided being seen together. Their relationship, however, became public on July 14, 2019, shortly after Sánchez’s separation and after Bezos’ divorce from MacKenzie Scott was finalized.
Bezos and MacKenzie Scott finalized their divorce in April 2019, after more than 25 years of marriage. They have four children together. While Sánchez and her ex-husband settled their divorce six months later in October 2019, after 13 years of marriage. She shares two children with Whitesell and one with her ex, Tony Gonzalez.

For a celebrity wedding, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s mega summer wedding is set to have a modest guest list. In an official statement, the City of Venice stated that only 200 guests would be invited. It is believed that the number was decided so the city can easily accommodate guests without causing any disruption.
In March 2025, Bezos and Sánchez reportedly sent out their wedding invitations. They invited members of the Trump family, Joshua Kushner, and Karlie Kloss. Also on the guest list are Sánchez’s fellow Blue Origin crew members Katy Perry and Gayle King.
Other guests include Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Oprah, Bill Gates, Brian Grazer, Jewel, Barbra Streisand, Anna Wintour, billionaire Barry Diller and his wife Diane Von Furstenberg, Eva Longoria and husband José Bastón, and Hollywood power player and investment fund founder Michael Kives with his wife, Lydia.
However, while they all received invitations, it’s not yet known who will actually be attending. Certainly, those who were at the couple’s engagement party will be there to witness it.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s summer wedding is highly expected to be a luxurious and star-studded affair. While the exact venue is still unknown, the wedding is already being referred to as “the wedding of the century.”
Earlier this year, there was news that the couple would wed on their $500 million mega yacht, Koru. Koru is the largest sailing yacht in the world and is 417 feet long. However, a source close to the couple insisted that the yacht will only be used as part of their celebrations, but not as a venue.
