A social media alteration has occurred following Stephen ‘twitch’ Boss family’s decision to slam his wife, Allison Holker. According to Boss’ family and friends, they found Holker airing out his alleged drug usage very distasteful. Additionally, the family claimed that Holker required them to sign NDAs to attend Boss’s funeral.
On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, PEOPLE released an interview with Holker where she discussed her late husband’s terrible death. In response to Holker’s interview, one of Boss’ cousins, Elle, took to X in defense of her late brother. Taking to X, Elle wrote, “He was not addicted. He used marijuana and was actively attempting to stop. He was not a junkie.”
Elle further accused Holker of keeping Boss’ three children from visiting his relatives. Elle wrote, “I’m so tired of keeping my f–king mouth shut, bro. You did our family so mf dirty. Yeah, idgaf about an NDA. This crazy woman made me and his actual family, including his mother, sign an NDA just to even attend the funeral.”
Additionally, Elle went on to accuse Holker of trying to tarnish his legacy and refusing his family access to his kids. Elle wrote, “She’s been trying to tarnish his legacy and refuses to let the Boss family see the children. Only to exploit and LIE on my cousin. Hell no.”

Corroborating Elle’s tweet and allegation was Courtney Ann Platt, a close friend of Boss. Platt took to Instagram to share a long Instagram post, saying, “This is by far the most tacky, classless, and opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life.” This was in response to Holker’s most recent interview with PEOPLE, in which she pushed her upcoming biography, “This Far.”
When Did Allison Holker and Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss Get Married?
In June 2013, a year after going public with their relationship, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ and his wife, Allison Holker, got engaged. The proposal took place during a commercial shot where he unexpectedly got down on one knee and proposed to Holker. Allison Holker proudly revealed her engagement ring at the Celebration of Dance Gala, where the couple marked their engagement.
Subsequently, in December 2013, Boss and Holker got married in Paso Robles, California. The ceremony was overseen by Nigel Lythgoe, the founder of SYTYCD, who married the pair at his Villa San-Juliette Vineyard & Winery.
Besides becoming husband and wife, Boss also became the stepfather of Allison Holker’s daughter, Weslie. Holker’s daughter Weslie joined them for a hip-hop dance routine to Justin Bieber’s “Somebody to Love,” honoring their dance background.

How Did Allison Holker and Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss Meet?
In an interview with Dance Spirit, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss opened up on how he and Allison Holker met. According to Boss, despite people thinking they met in 2010 after they debuted together on SYTYCD, the duo initially met in 2006. Boss stated that he met Holker for the first time at a party hosted by a mutual acquaintance in 2006.
Boss said, “Our good friend [and Season 2 contestant] Ivan Koumaev had a party and invited a bunch of us. We met there for the first time, but Allison doesn’t remember at all.” However, they went their separate ways only to be reunited in 2010, when they both appeared as all-stars during SYTYCD season 7.
Boss and Holker kept their relationship during the show professional, despite their admiration for one another. However, toward the end of the season, Boss and Holker became closer. Boss said, “We shared a dance at the wrap party of that season of So You Think You Can Dance, and we have been together ever since.”

Corroborating Boss’ story, Holker said, “There was no chat, no discourse, and no first get-together. The very next day, we literally danced and held hands. And we never looked back.” Subsequently, in May 2012, Boss and Holker went public with their relationship, making their first red-carpet appearance as a couple on May 23, 2012.

Over the course of their 9-year marriage, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss and his wife, Allison Holker, shared three kids together, Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia. While Weslie was from Holker’s previous relationship and was adopted by Boss, the couple welcomed two children together, a girl in 2019 and a boy in 2016.
Following their marriage, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss adopted Holker’s daughter. Unfortunately, their worlds came crashing after news broke that Stephen Boss had committed suicide on December 14, 2022.
