Travis Barker’s daughter, Alabama Barker, has landed in the hospital. The 19-year-old promising musician was admitted to an LA hospital following a nicotine withdrawal crisis. After years of vaping, Alabama finally decided to give up the habit. But the resolve has turned out not to be an easy one.
Alabama was taken to the hospital after she reportedly felt panicked and unwell. She had suddenly stopped vaping one month before. She contacted 911 and had to be moved to the nearby medical facility for proper attention. After undergoing examination, Travis Barker’s daughter was informed that the crisis was a result of her vape pen nicotine withdrawal.
According to some sources, the rapper was an occasional vaper. But she turned her back on the habit because of her musical career. Senior colleagues and professionals in the industry had advised her to stop the habit as it would negatively affect her ability to perform.
According to the health report disclosed by insiders, although her decision was a wise one, she let go of the habit too quickly. Health professionals disclosed that such withdrawal symptoms were typical of people who stopped using nicotine in full immediately.
Alabama Barker, who is the last child of the legendary Travis Barker, has shown how hungry she is to climb up the ladder in the entertainment industry. She took her first shot in the industry at the tender age of 12 when she released her first pop single, “Our House.”

Alabama Barker is now 19 years old. Seven years after kickstarting her career, Travis Barker’s daughter hasn’t taken her foot off the gas. The now 19-year-old was born on December 24, 2005, to the Blink-182 drummer and his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler. Unfortunately, her parents didn’t stay together for long after she was born. They parted ways in 2008.
Upon her birth, Travis couldn’t hide his excitement at the new bundle of joy. He disclosed his “amazing” experience in an interview he granted after her birth. “I’ve been staying at the hospital and hanging out with her … It’s so crazy having a little girl — everything from the way she cries to the way she looks at you is so different.”

Why Did Travis Barker Name His Daughter Alabama?
Travis Barker has explained the reason behind the name Alabama. One of the times he did so was during a 2017 interview on the Young Hollywood YouTube show. He traced the idea behind the name to “True Romance,” a 1993 movie by Quentin Tarantino.
“I loved that movie so much,” he explained. “I loved Clarence Worley … and, then, of course, his lovely wife Alabama … she was so dope in that movie. When it came time we were having a little girl, I fought for ‘Alabama’ so hard.”
The feeling is mutual as Alabama, who hasn’t hidden her love for tattoos, has inked her family on her skin. Just like her parents, she has gotten numerous tattoos, many of which are in honor of family members, especially her parents.
In January 2024, she posted a photo of her getting a tattoo alongside her dad. This time, the ink read, “Isn’t She Lovely” on her left hand. This was about the song by Stevie Wonder. Revealing the background of the tattoo, she wrote in the caption, “Fun Fact: I was rocked as a baby to this song almost every day!”
Who Is Older, Landon or Alabama?
Aside from Alabama, Travis Barker has a son, Landon, 21, with Shanna Moakler. He also shares a stepdaughter, Atiana, 25, with her. Alabama also happens to be Kourtney Kardashian’s stepdaughter. Travis and Kourtney have a child, Rocky, who was born in November 2023.
Fans wish Alabama, whose full name is Alabama Luella Barker, a safe recovery. Aside from the nicotine withdrawal, Alabama is also battling a thyroid problem and an autoimmune disease. She revealed the diagnosis of the ailment to her fans in August 2023.
