Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union sure do make it a point to constantly support Zaya Wade. The 42-year-old former NFL player attended the Out100 2024 event, which recognizes the most highly regarded and influential LGBTQ+ leaders, alongside his 17-year-old and his wife.
The group, who appeared to be in excellent spirits, posed together on the red carpet. Zaya donned a stunning black Lena Jacket Dress by Ronny Kobo with leopard fur accents and Mary Jane heels. Her hair was straight, and she wore very little jewelry, only a golden ring on her finger.
Dwyane Wade also donned a white sweater layered beneath a dark denim jacket and dark slacks, while Gabrielle Union wore a green and brown gingham dress with a white purse as an accessory.

He even collaborated with his daughter to create Translatable, a digital platform that allows LGBTQ+ youngsters to express themselves by submitting content. In May, he received the Elevate Prize Catalyst Award for his efforts to support the transgender community. During his award speech, Dwyane stated that he was simply a father doing what any decent parent would do.
When Did Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union Get Married?
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union first met at a Super Bowl party in 2007, where they were both assigned to co-host. However, it was not love at first sight. According to E! News, Union told Essence that sparks were not flying when they initially met.
Union and Wade began dating in 2009. However, they did not appear together publicly until July 2010. On December 21, 2013, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade announced their engagement. The pair married on August 30, 2014, in Miami in an intimate ceremony attended by family and friends.
Union had told Arsenio Hall that they intended for their wedding to be entirely family-oriented. Just one day after their wedding, the newlyweds documented their three-part honeymoon on Instagram, which included relaxation on a “deserted island” in the Maldives and a safari in Africa’s Serengeti. Their last visit was to the Seychelles islands.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have one child, Kaavia James, who was born via surrogate in November 2018. Union was 46, and Wade was 36. The star of “Being Mary Jane” stated that becoming a mother transformed her life “in so many wondrous ways,” which made her wish she had “done it earlier” to spend longer with her daughter and as a mother.
Kaavia and her mother have twinned countless times throughout the years. She once wore a cheerleading attire similar to Union’s “Bring It On” character Clover’s cheer uniform.

Union is also the stepmother to Dwyane Wade’s three children from past relationships. Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches, have two children: Zaire and Zaya. He also has a nine-year-old son, Xavier, with “Basketball Wives” star Aja Metoyer. The former NBA star also is the legal guardian of his nephew, Dahveon Morris.
