Christmas is a season of forgiveness and joy. But only bad blood exists between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez and it doesn’t look like that will change anytime soon.
On Tuesday, December 17, the female rapper demanded that a court issue a restraining order against Tory Lanez. Why? She claimed he has been harassing her from prison via surrogates as he serves a 10-year sentence for shooting her in the feet.
Updates on the Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez Case
The latest update in the Megan Thee stallion and Tory Lanez saga has seen her file a petition in the Los Angeles Superior Court. The rapper is asking the judge to ban the Canadian rapper from using third parties to continue the online harassment against her, something he engaged in and encouraged before his imprisonment.
“Even now, while behind bars, Mr. Peterson shows no signs of stopping,” the petition says. “Despite being sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Ms. Pete, Mr. Peterson continues to subject her to repeated trauma and revictimization.”

According to the petition, there is evidence that Lanez is coordinating attacks on Megan Thee Stallion’s credibility in his prison call logs at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi.
A court hearing on the order is scheduled for January 9. The filing claims bloggers on Tory Lanez’s payroll continue to cast doubt on her allegations. She says they do this by making false claims, like how the gun and bullet fragments in the case are missing.
The petition says the protective order put in place to prevent the previous harassment no longer works thanks to a loophole in the criminal justice system.
Did Tory Lanez Shoot Megan Thee Stallion?
As far as the law is concerned, Tory Lanez did shoot Megan Thee Stallion. In December 2022, he was convicted of three felonies. These include assault with a semi-automatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
His lawyers have been trying to appeal the case but with little luck. In August 2023, he was slammed with a 10-year sentence. Many thought it would end a three-year legal and cultural saga that threw many lives into turmoil.
According to Megan Thee Stallion’s recent petition, Tory Lanez has been using his cohorts to discredit her. The petition mentioned one blogger in particular, Elizabeth Milagro Cooper. And according to “Savage” rapper, she is Lanez’s “puppet and mouthpiece.”
Megan Thee Stallion alleges Cooper is spreading lies on social media and even called her a “professional victim.”

Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez have a history together. Tory Lanez once claimed he and the talented rapper dated, hinting at secret meetings and bonding over personal losses.
At first, Megan, who often gets compared to Nicki Minaj, denied ever having a sexual relationship with Tory Lanez during an interview with Gayle King. However, she later admitted to getting intimate with him occasionally.
