Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope may have decided against parting ways. There are speculations that the actor, 48, seemingly hard-launched his reconciliation with the actress, 37, on Instagram on Wednesday, December 4.
He shared a pair of heartwarming photos of himself posing with Cope at an event for their new romantic comedy, “Marry Christmas,” which was filmed two years ago. “I am galaxies beyond thankful,” Lawrence wrote alongside the snaps of him and Cope, adding, “My heart is so full.”

Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope may be well on their way to a full-on reconciliation. The first photo Lawrence shared of them captured him with his hand around Cope’s waist while her hand rested on his chest. It’s not exactly a pose you strike with someone you’re not seriously considering romantically.

The second snap left no doubt about their relationship. It featured the two sharing a kiss with the words “My forever after” written underneath.
The two also swooned over one another, with Cope commenting on the post, “love you,” to which Lawrence replied, “love you so much baby.”
Earlier this week, Cope shared behind-the-scenes pictures of the “Marry Christmas” film on Instagram. One picture showed her character, wearing a baby bump and wedding gown, hugging Joey Lawrence’s character. “You’re the best,” Lawrence wrote in the comments section.
What Caused Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope’s Divorce?
Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope’s reunion comes after Cope filed for divorce from the actor in August after two years of marriage. According to an August 13 filing, she cited irreconcilable differences and listed their date of separation as June 7, 2024. The documents detailed some of the couple’s arguments and Cope’s requests.
Meanwhile, Lawrence has publicly denied rumors of having an affair with his co-star Melina Alves, which were speculated to be a cause of the divorce. During the August 30 episode of his podcast “The Brotherly Love Pod,” Joey Lawrence opened up about life after Cope’s filing, as well as how he feels about allegations that claim he had an affair with Alves.
“This has been a multifaceted journey these four [or] five years. Actually, there was a lot of pain in that journey despite public perception and what it looks like [on social],” he said in part. “Life will move on, and we will move through this. And my children will be at the forefront.”
Are Samantha and Joey Still Together?
According to their recent social media posts, Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope seem to have decided to give their relationship another chance. Nobody knows how long the attempt will last, but fans hope they can make things work, if for nobody else’s sake but their daughters’.
When she filed for divorce, Cope requested full physical custody of their 19-month-old daughter, Dylan, with visitation rights for Lawrence. This means their child would have grown up in a broken home at best, but their reconciliation changes that.

Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope, who got married in May 2022, share a daughter named Dylan. At the time of her birth, Lawrence described their union to PEOPLE as “so right,” adding, “Life can be challenging at times, but when God gives you the right person, it’s worth it.”
Aside from Dylan, he is also a proud father to daughters Charleston, 18, and Liberty, 14, products of his past marriage to Chandie Yawn-Nelson.
