In a shocking revelation involving her therapist, reality TV personality Khloe Kardashian has explained why she is against therapy. According to the reality TV star, her former therapist had violated her privacy by giving tabloid access to private material from their sessions.
Following her less-than-pleasant experience with her therapist, Khloe Kardashian decided to go to the gym as therapy. Kardashian revealed that the alleged violation of doctor-patient confidentiality occurred during her divorce from Lamar Odom.

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, during an interview with Bustle, Khloe Kardashian discussed how a breach of trust caused her to stop therapy. She opened up about the lasting effect of the betrayal and how it has impacted her view on therapy.
The reality TV star said, “I remember I was going to therapy, and the next thing I knew, something private I told my therapist was on a tabloid. And I knew that my therapist disclosed this information to a tabloid because there’s no way this could have gotten out there.” According to Khloe Kardashian, the incident occurred during her marital struggles and divorce proceedings.

However, she did not go into details about what part of her failed marriage her former therapist had revealed. Khloe Kardashian’s marriage to Lamar Odom failed following the former Lakers star’s infidelity and struggle with addiction. Although their divorce wasn’t finalized until December 2016, Kardashian stated it collapsed in 2013.
However, the incident had its positives, as the encounter ignited her passion for exercise. Khloe said, “I stopped going to therapy and started going to the gym. I needed a release, but I did not trust anybody else anymore. And the place that I felt the safest was the gym.”

Following her experience, which she described as “very jarring and sort of unbelievable,” Khloe Kardashian avoided therapy for years. However, she revealed that her sister, Kim Kardashian, convinced her to give therapy another chance. Following her sister’s plea, Khloe Kardashian began seeing Kim’s therapist.

Consequently, in 2023, she gave therapy another go, which has been really helpful. Khloe said, “I dragged my feet, and then I was like, ‘Wow, OK, this is good. I needed this. And my therapist was like, ‘I think you should come three days a week.’ She was like, ‘You really need to be here.'”
According to Khloe Kardashian, her new therapist has been lovely and helpful to her mental health. Khloe said that after their sessions, she realized she had a lot of issues to address. She believes she is in her greatest physical condition at 40 and is pursuing new professional opportunities.
Acknowledging her new physical and mental well-being, Khloe attributes her smooth sailing through this to treatment.
