Simone Biles is in a happy relationship with her husband Jonathan Owens.

The 27-year-old 11-time Olympic gold winner posted a series of images on Instagram with her husband, the 29-year-old Chicago Bears safety, on Wednesday, October 2. She captioned the post, “Struck gold with this one 🫶🏾.”

The images appear to have been taken during Biles’ Gold Over America Tour Milwaukee stop on Saturday, September 28, when Owens surprised her! She is presently on tour with Team USA gymnasts Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Hezly Rivera, Fred Richard, and others in a gymnastics competition-meets-concert event.

The gymnast began her post with a photo of her kissing Owens on the field during a recent game. Biles wore Chicago Bears gear, including a little white skirt and the Balenciaga duty-free tote bag.

The final slide of the Instagram carousel featured a video of the couple’s adorable kiss. Owens is seen in the next photo cheering on his wife at one of her sporting victories. Biles posed in a shimmering leotard as if in a backstage green room. Owens donned a white Gallery Dept. stadium uniform shirt, as shown in the previous two images.

Simone Biles’ husband, Jonathan Owens, was extremely supportive and present at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Owens, the Chicago Bears’ safety, was there to cheer her on as she created history by winning several gold medals.

The Bears waived Owens from July 29 to August 3, including their first preseason game on August 1 against Owens’ former team, the Houston Texans. This means that, in addition to the team final, Owens was able to witness Biles compete in the all-around final on Thursday, August 1.

Owens says he requested the time off while negotiating his contract with the Bears in the spring.

How Did Simon Biles and Jonathan Owens Meet?

Simone Biles and her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, have a very contemporary relationship. Despite their close brush during the Texans game in 2019, Biles and Owens met for the first time in March 2020 through the dating app Raya, with Biles making the initial move.

The two began flirting and Face Timing for a few weeks. Afterward, he was invited to a lake house flexion. The pair married in a small courthouse wedding in Texas. It happened on April 22, 2023.

What Does Jonathan Owens Do For A Living?

Jonathan Owens, Simon Biles’ husband, has been an NFL player since 2018, now with the Chicago Bears. Owens, 29, of St. Louis, played collegiately at Missouri Western State. As a senior in 2017, he was named to the second team of the MIAA. 

After the 2018 NFL draft, he signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent, however he missed the entire season due to an ACL tear. Owens signed in September 2019 to join the Houston Texans practice squad following his release by the Cardinals before the 2019 NFL season.

Before making the transition to the Texans’ active roster full-time in 2022, he played four seasons in Houston, splitting time between the team’s active roster and practice squad.

He is beginning his debut season with the Bears, having signed a two-year, $4.75 million contract this offseason.
