Rapper Yung Miami has spoken up about her time with embattled rapper Diddy. The former Diddy lover has described her experience dating the musician and business mogul. She also spoke about how she felt learning about his dark abusive past in his former relationships.
According to the 30-year-old former City Girls rapper, the Diddy she knew was miles apart from the one in the news for the wrong reasons. She went on to describe him as “a really good person to me.”
What Happened to P. Diddy?
The past year has been hell for celebrated rapper and hip-hop great Sean Love Combs. The multiple award-winning entertainer, who is also known as “Diddy” or “P. Diddy,” has had his plate full of damning accusations, multiple lawsuits, and a broken relationship.
Trouble started for the 54-year-old New York City-born rapper after his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit against him. Ventura accused Diddy of subjecting her to a “manipulative and coercive romantic relationship.”
She provided the court with careful details of violent abuse and rape. According to the civil lawsuit, Diddy “regularly beat and kicked Ms Ventura, leaving black eyes, bruises, and blood.” On his part, Diddy denied the allegations and accused the RnB singer of trying to extort him.

Interestingly, both parties agreed to settle the case just one day after Ventura filed the New York lawsuit. However, Diddy’s legal team maintained that the settlement wasn’t an admission of guilt.
Before Diddy could heave a sigh of relief, trouble re-surfaced a few days later. Three more lawsuits emerged from three other women. One of them, Joi Dickerson-Neal, accused the rapper of drugging and sexually abusing her back in 1991.
Dickerson, who said she was a student at the time, also alleged that Diddy filmed the act and spread the footage without her permission. Again, Diddy denied all the claims, accusing the women of trying to make money off him.
However, a hotel surveillance video from 2016 emerged from nowhere, sending his denial crashing down like a pack of cards. The video, which was captured on multiple cameras, showed Diddy grabbing, dragging, shoving, and kicking Ventura in the hotel hallway.
Two days after the video went public on May 19, 2024, Diddy issued an apology. “My behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” he said in a now-deleted video post on Instagram.
Yung Miami on What Her Relationship With Diddy Was Like
Speaking on her relationship with Diddy, Yung Miami said she had a different experience with the Bad Boy Records founder. She shared her experience during the first episode of her return to her podcast, “Caresha Please.”
She spoke to her friend, Saucy Santana who questioned her on why she didn’t speak out while the lawsuits against Diddy made headlines. “I can’t speak on something that wasn’t my experience, and I can’t speak on something that I don’t know,” Yung Miami answered.
“I can’t speak on these allegations because I wasn’t around at the time,” she explained. After the truth about Diddy’s abusive past came to light, Yung Miami said she was heartbroken. “It really hurt me because I just feel like Puff was a really, really good person to me. I feel like he came, and he helped me; he elevated me,” she said.
“He saw a lot of things in me, and I feel like that’s one of his specialties, like, he knows how to find people and identify their talent. He was able to see more than music in me,” she added.

Yung Miami Speaks on Being in a Toxic Relationship
Later in the interview, Yung Miami admitted that she had been in an abusive relationship in the past. “I’ve been in a toxic relationship before when I was younger,” she said. “In high school, my early 20s, and they’re not healthy. They’re not fun. It’s just I’ve been there, done that, and that’s somewhere I would never want to put myself.”
The rapper further stated that domestic violence isn’t something she can tolerate, especially in her new status as a mother. “That’s something I don’t condone or tolerate, something that I grew from,” she stated.
How Many Kids Does Yung Miami Have?
Yung Miami is the proud mother of two kids—Jai Malik Wiggins Jr. and Summer Miami Luellen. The 30-year-old Miami-born rapper had Jai Jr. in 2013 with now late ex-boyfriend Jai Wiggins. Yung Miami and Jai Wiggins had a pretty rocky relationship that ended just two years after they had their son.
Summer Miami Luellen was born in October 2019. Yung Miami had Summer for Joshua Howard Luellen, AKA Young Sizzle, who she began dating in 2018. However, the relationship didn’t work out.

How Long Has Yung Miami Been With Diddy?
Rumors of a relationship between Yung Miami and Diddy first surfaced in 2021. Tongues continued to wag until they decided to break the silence a year later. The pair put speculations to rest when they confirmed they were dating in June 2022.
They made the admission during an episode of “Caresha Please,” on which she featured Diddy. Afterward, things got a bit more interesting, with Diddy announcing the birth of his seventh child in December of the same year.
He welcomed the child with model Dana Tran, sparking additional rumors that he cheated on Yung Miami with Dana. However, a few weeks later, Diddy and Yung Miami were seen at St. Barts for New Year’s Eve.
This quenched the rumors of their purported split. Interestingly, Yung Miami has also announced on the show that she is no longer with the rapper. Her reason? “Sometimes a relationship runs its course. People break up every day, and with everything that happened, I just needed time alone.”
