Matt Damon, 53, showed up on the red carpet with his family on Wednesday, July 31, for the New York premiere of his most recent movie, “The Instigators.” Along with his wife Luciana Barroso and their three daughters, Isabella, 18, Gia, 15, and Stella, 13, he turned it into a family affair.
Matt Damon’s mother, Nancy Carlsson-Paige, and Luciana’s 24-year-old daughter, Alexia, were also present. The “Oppenheimer” alum told reporters how his wife persuaded him to star in the upcoming comedy thriller. “She truly created this one,” Matt Damon remarks about 48-year-old Barroso.
The Movie Debut Date
“The Instigators” debuted in theaters on August 2 and will debut on Apple TV+ on August 9. The Damons had a romantic vacation to Greece in July, just before the movie’s promotional run. After 19 years of marriage, the “Good Will Hunting” actor and his spouse were spotted enjoying a sun-filled vacation in Mykonos.
The pair visited the Hemsworth brothers in addition to having a PDA-filled holiday on the Greek island in July of last year. Midway through June, Matt Damon and Luciana were spotted at their daughter’s high school graduation in Brooklyn, New York, before their return trip to Europe.

For the infrequent family get-together, the entire family dressed to impress, with Matt Damon looking particularly sharp in a khaki suit with a matching white T-shirt and trainers. His long-time partner looked great on him in a white Helsa dress with dangling earrings and black stiletto heels.
She accessorized her brown locks with red lipstick for a splash of color and wore them half-up, half-down. The girls of the pair also looked startled. While Gia went in a scarlet dress with a high slit and Stella went in a silky green dress, Alexia and Isabella went in black outfits.

Although the “Good Will Hunting” actor would rather keep his personal life secret, he has previously talked about becoming a father to four girls. “It’s great, but I never expected to be surrounded by girls.” In a prior interview, Matt Damon stated, “I’m learning so much, not the least of which is how much smarter girls are.”
“I thought we had a chance, but I realized when my two-year-old had me wrapped around her finger completely, and she knew it,” he said. “We don’t stand a chance when they’re fully grown if they can do that to us at two years old.”

On June 11, 2006, Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso welcomed Isabella, their first child together. The actor has been open about his daughter’s candor over the years, referring to her as one of his harshest critics on multiple occasions.

Matt Damon told “E!” News in July 2021, “She’ll watch it if the reviews turn out to be awful. She will pass if they emerge, and they’re good.” He said, “She is constantly searching for ammo.”
“She’s among the funniest folks I’ve ever encountered. She is just amazing,” he said, noting that Isabella had not altered her mind when appearing on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in April 2023.
He told presenter Seth Meyers, “My 16-year-old likes to give me a hard time, and she is very clear about not wanting to see anything that I’m in if she thinks it might be good.”
