66% of the cash came from first-time donors, according to the campaign, which revealed the number. This highlights the grassroots enthusiasm for Harris’s candidacy. According to the campaign, since the announcement, over 170,000 new volunteers have joined the cause, demonstrating the support that the public has for its volunteer program.

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., a supporter of Trump, also attempted to characterize Harris as a full partner for “a lot of the worst decisions of the Biden administration.” Citing the disastrous withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan in August 2021 that precipitated the rapid collapse of the country’s military and government.
