Donald Trump’s attempted assassination on Saturday, July 13, 2024, resulted in the death of 50-year-old Corey Comperatore. As the Sarver community comes together to remember and honor the life of one of its most important citizens, we look into who Comperatore was.

Who Was Corey Comperatore?

On Sunday, July 14, 2024, the Pennsylvania State Police confirmed the victim at the Trump Rally shooting as Corey Comperatore. Comperatore was a family man, volunteer firefighter, and a plastics manufacturing company employee who loved fishing. Comperatore and his family attend the Trump reelection rally in Bulter, Pennsylvania.

According to Pennsylvania State Governor Josh Shapiro, Comperatore was shot while trying to ensure his family’s safety. On Sunday, July 14, 2024, Shapiro stated that he paid his condolences to the wife and children of Comperatore. Additionally, the state governor had instructed that all American flags across the state be flown at half mast in the memory of Comperatore.

Comperatore was known to be a strong supporter of Trump and was excited to be at the Trump rally before the unfortunate incident occurred. Shapiro described Comperatore as a “girl dad and an upstanding citizen of the community.” Shapiro added that Comperatore was a volunteer firefighter. Comperatore was the father of two girls, 27-year-old Allyson and 24-year-old Kaylee.

Comment from Corey Comperatore’s family and Neighbours.

On Monday, July 15, 2024, Comperatore’s widow, Helen Comperatore, had an interview with the New York Post. According to Helen, Comperatore’s last word as he placed himself between the flying bullets and his family was, ‘Get down!’

Helen Comperatore told the New York Post that she and Corey were childhood sweethearts and were about to celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary when the family headed to the rally to support Trump. Helen stated that President Joe Biden attempted to reach her but declined, as she believes that her husband wouldn’t have wanted her to speak with the Democrat.

However, Helen doesn’t hold the incumbent president accountable for her husband’s murder. She said Biden did not do anything to her husband, but a 20-year-old kid did. Additionally, she stated that her family has yet to receive any messages from Trump, whom she is set to vote for in honor of her husband.

The account, which has now been verified by the platform, was created with a donation goal of $7000. However, as of Monday, July 15, 2024, the account has generated over a million dollars.
