Halle Bailey’s Boyfriend, DDG, is making sure his lady gets all the accolades she deserves!
The renowned singer and actress’ boyfriend, DDG, broke the internet after posting a video of an award show he organized for her. In the viral footage, Halle Bailey’s boyfriend appears with a bunch of awards, saying, “Welcome to the first annual Halle Awards.” He continues, saying he hosted the awards show in honor of the 23-year-old singer.
As Bailey cradles Halo, their newborn son, in her arms, YouTuber and rap star DDG, 26, asks her to sit. “I’m very suspicious,” she says. “What are you doing?” Without responding, Halle Bailey’s boyfriend proceeds to announce the nominees for the first award, Best Catsitter.
Of course, the renowned singer is the only one up for the accolade. However, DDG makes it a point to repeat her name multiple times as if referring to different people. He goes on to hand her mini-trophies for Best Woman, Best Artist, Best Sweetheart, Best Partner, and Best Mother.

Eventually, the awards get too much to handle as the couple’s baby lets out a cry, demanding attention. Nevertheless, DDG picks up Halo and presents his girlfriend with the award for best mom. After the video went viral, social media users couldn’t help but admire the thoughtfulness.
Fans of the couple gushed over the heartwarming video, first posted on DDG’s Snapchat. One follower wrote, “I don’t care who says what about DDG & HALLE. This is my favorite love story.” Another added, “Love this for them so much.” “Y’all, if she shows up pregnant again, we know why. I love this for them,” a third user added.

For context, the singer-actress bagged three nominations at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards. However, she lost in all three categories. Bailey lost to Usher in the Entertainer of the Year category and to Fantasia Barrino in the Outstanding Actress category.
Lastly, Bailey lost the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture award to Taraji P. Henson. Halle Bailey’s boyfriend revealed in the viral video that her losses bothered him. He also said she was “bummed out” due to her impact on the film industry in 2023.
Bailey and DDG confirmed their relationship in March 2022. However, the two stepped out together for the first time at Usher’s Las Vegas residency. In the following months, the duo appeared side-by-side on red carpets, attended Milan Fashion Week, and publicly supported one another.

On January 6, 2024, the “Angel” singer announced their first child’s birth after ignoring the pregnancy rumors. “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the singer wrote on Instagram. “The greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me was bring me my son.”
She added, “Welcome to the world, my halo. The world is desperate to know you,” hinting at the rumors. Similarly, Halle Bailey’s boyfriend followed her lead, opening up about becoming a first-time parent on his YouTube channel. “Me and Halle had a baby together,” he said. “I wouldn’t choose no other person in the world to have a child with.”
