Famous American businessman and chief executive of MyPillow, Mike Lindell, often called a “prominent election denier,” is now the subject of a payment dispute. According to him, Fox News, one of his company’s largest advertising outlets, has canceled his company.

He made this known to the public in a tweet on Friday, January 12, when he shared a video with the caption, “Please watch this and share everywhere! Fox News has canceled MyPillow.” In the video, Lindell explained that he had no idea why the news channel had made that decision.

“We don’t know why, we can only make a couple of guesses. Maybe it’s because Lou Dobbs was added here over at Lindell.com to this new lineup we have, and that was just a few days ago we showed his first interview with our great real president, Donald Trump,” he said. “Or maybe it’s because they don’t want my face on their network leading up to the 2024 elections in support of our great real president, Donald Trump.”

Last April, Fox had to pay Dominion Voting Systems almost $800 million to settle a defamation lawsuit by the voting machine company.

They acknowledged that they were wrong in promoting lies about the 2020 elections through many show hosts, including Dobbs. The settlement averted a trial that would likely have ended in much more financial losses for the news channel.

The Minnesota-based election conspiracy theorist and political activist has been battling numerous legal and financial challenges for some time now. Fox News’ decision to stop his company’s ads is only the latest addition to his list of business woes.

Walmart and many other big-box retailers have stopped displaying his products on their shelves. Even his defense attorneys have quit representing him in his defamation lawsuit by Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems. They cited Lindell’s inability to pay the millions of dollars he owes them as their reason for quitting.

However, Lindell seems unperturbed by these problems as he continues to spread ex-president Trump’s lies about the voting machine companies rigging the 2020 elections.

Meanwhile, Fox News has debunked the businessman’s allegations against them. Instead, they claim they only stopped running MyPillow’s commercials because Lindell hasn’t paid his bills. “As soon as their account is paid, we would be happy to accept their advertising,” Irena Briganti, Fox spokeswoman, said.

Although Lindell has admitted that his company owes Fox $7.8 million, he told the Associated Press that this sum falls within his line of credit with the news channel. He also added that MyPillow typically spent about $ 1 million weekly to advertise on Fox. However, the network recently reduced his 12 weeks of credit to 8 weeks.

Lindell also acknowledged that Fox’s decision to discontinue his company’s ads will significantly affect his business, although he still runs commercials on other networks. “Obviously, it would be great if Fox said, ‘Hey, come back,'” he said, even though he still insists that the network stopped MyPillow’s ads “because I want to secure our election platforms.” We’ll keep our ears open for any developments in this story.
