MOMOA AND BONET’S ROMANCE
Jason Momoa was just eight years old when he fell in love with Lisa Bonet after watching her star in the popular 80s series “The Cosby Show.”
In 2005 the pair met for the first time through mutual friends at a New York Jazz club. Momoa had dreaded his hair to impress her but pretended he was surprised to see the actress when Bonet introduced herself.
On their way out of the Jazz club, Momoa asked Bonet for a ride back to his hotel, but the two later stopped at Café 101, where they ate grits and drank Guinness.
The pair became inseparable from then on.
In July 2007, two years after they started dating, the pair welcomed their first child Lola, Momoa’s first child and Bonet’s second. She had her first child Zoë Kravitz in 1988 while she was married to ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.
Just a year after, Bonet returned to acting after a lengthy break. She appeared in the ABC crime drama “Life on Mars.” The actress credited Momoa as the inspiration behind her return to the screen.
On December 15, 2008, the pair welcomed their second child, a son, Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha. According to Bonet, the child was born on a stormy night, and that is why they named him Nokoa, which means “warrior.”
The couple co-starred for the first time in the movie “Road to Paloma,” where the pair played love interests. They also co-starred on the TV series “The Red Road.”
In 2017 after 21 years together, Momoa and Bonet exchanged marital vows in a low-key wedding event held at their home in Topanga, California, with a few family and friends in attendance.

Zoë Kravitz, Bonet’s first daughter, has a close relationship with her step-dad Momoa and her step-siblings, Lola and Nokoa.
The Aquaman actor and Zoë have appeared together on the red carpet multiple times, and they also have matching arm tattoos.
During his birthday, Zoë serenaded him with a beautiful post on her social media and also called him the pet name “Papabear.”
Zoë is very tight with her step-siblings. The musician and actress named her band “Lolawolf” after her younger siblings.
Bonet’s first husband Lenny Kravitz, who is also Zoë’s father, has a close relationship with both Bonet and Momoa. He and Momoa became fast friends, and they even have matching skull rings.
THEIR SEPARATION
Momoa and Bonet shocked fans when they announced in a joint statement that after four years of marriage, they would be parting ways.
In the post, the couple explained that changes and revolution happen and their family is no exception. Some parts of the statement also read:
